The project is a remodel and 350 square foot addition to an existing 1,120 square foot house in Mar Vista, California. Included as part of the project is a separately accessed 500 square foot one-bedroom rental unit over a new two car garage. A key component to the design was to open up connectivity through the house to a central outdoor courtyard for entertaining. The new outdoor space is comprised of a shaded dining space under a pergola, built-in BBQ, living area with fire pit, and open play area for kids.
Construction was completed in 2022
