Situated just south of Los Angeles’ Historic Core on 41st and Compton, this new affordable housing project responds to the vernacular of the existing neighborhood’s Art-Deco character in scale and materiality. Efficient units are balanced with unique massing and elevations that will create distinctly individual homes for each of the 127 units. A lushly landscaped courtyard lies in the center of the project, providing much needed green space in a part of the city which has historically lacked it, and a special gathering space for the residents. The project is currently under construction.
