Anand Devarajan
Anand was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Drawing upon an early passion for the arts, making scale models, and tinkering with cars, Anand attended Carnegie Mellon University earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He later attended Yale University, receiving a Master of Architecture degree before joining Gehry Partners in 2000. In 2002 he started closely collaborating with Frank Gehry on vision and design of the iconic commissions of the practice, serving as one of a few design leads in the Studio. In 2012 he became a Partner in the firm continuing his collaboration with Mr. Gehry and mentoring younger designers in the practice. His design experience ranges from Museums, Exhibitions and other Cultural Buildings, Masterplans and Mixed-Use Developments, Sports Facilities, Infrastructure Design, and unique Single Family Residences.
In late 2018, he decided to leave Gehry Partners to pursue his own architectural practice, building upon the knowledge he learned with the master, at the same time exploring his own design vision.
Anand is a licensed Architect in the State of California and certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is also a founding member of Geoversity Design, a non-profit organization which consists of an ecosystem of leaders and organizations collaborating in the pursuit of breakthroughs in human design, enterprise, and creative expression, inspired by Nature.
